On January 7, 2025, SNALAC was requested to respond alongside Netcong Fire Department for the report of a structure fire. Shortly thereafter, Netcong Fire Chief 1 confirmed a working structure fire. At the time, Netcong EMS 1 was just arriving from an earlier medical emergency at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center. Netcong EMS 2 quickly crewed up and responded to the scene. Upon arrival of EMS, mutual aid was requested from Roxbury Company 1 Fire and EMS and Roxbury Fire and First Aid Company 2 for two ambulances with an additional ambulance requested from Budd Lake First Aid and Rescue Squad-Station 27. Netcong EMS 1 upon clearing the hospital at St. Barnabas responded to the scene. Due to the freezing cold temperatures and high winds, SNALAC requested the Morris County Office of Emergency Management Mobile Ambulance Bus (MAB) to respond to assist in firefighter rehabilitation and warming. Units cleared just after 10:00pm, approximately three hours after dispatch. SNALAC would like to thank our mutual aid agencies for assistance. During this incident, proper coverage for additional ambulance requests in our jurisdiction was in place. Strong work to the fire departments that operated on scene in less than stellar conditions. ... See MoreSee Less
